Welcome, fellow visitors. I am Caleb Magness, assistant manager of Sector 1404 and manager of Sector 1404's Private Sector. You coming here is no coincidence. It was destined. This will now be your home away from home. You may come and go as you please provided you do not cause trouble. Troublemakers will be banished.

Sector 1404 is a far-out top secret facility of Area 51 which its soul purpose is to protect and preserve all flora and fauna from the destruction of mankind's greed. It is situated in South America and encompasses an area equal to Amazonia. This area is seven milion square kilometers or 1.7 billion acres, of which five and a half million square kilometers or 1.4 billion acres are covered by rain forest. This includes territory belonging to nine nations each with its own Sector 1404 Headquarters. The majority of it is contained within Brazil, with 60%, followed by Peru with 13%, and with minor amounts in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana.

Sector 1404 also represents over half of Planet Earth's remaining rain forests and it comprises the largest and most species-rich tract of tropical rain forest in the world. It is a beautiful haven sealed off from the destruction of mankind's greed. It is a place where Man, Beast, and Mother Nature live and thrive as one.

The Private Sector, on the other hand, is a separate facility within Sector 1404's Headquarters where all the oddities, one-of-a-kind, and presumed extinct thrive. These are Sector 1404's most important treasures. Any losses leave permanent scars in its management and history.

Now, as for my gallery, everything I draw or write will be about Sector 1404. It is how I share with the world my experiences from this amazing and spectacular wonderland.

In 1993, on the night of my tenth birthday, I went to bed and dreamt of Sector 1404 for the first time. The dreams continued subsequently since then till this day. I seem to have a second life over there. When I sleep here, I awaken there. The timeline seems to be roughly twenty four hours apart. What all this means I simply do not know. But, it is simply extraordinary.

People call me crazy. Perhaps, I am. Either way, whatever questions any of you have, I will always be capable of answering.

I hope you will enjoy whatever I have to share with you. You may proceed.

Cameron Highlands

Journal Entry: Sun Dec 5, 2010, 5:05 AM
Hey, everyone. This update is brought to you from Cameron Highlands, Malaysia.

Well, our flight went fine. None of us crashed, thank God. Although, the cold and rainy weather here has caught us off guard. Its now night time here and the temperature has dropped from the usual 15 degrees to a bone-chilling 10. That is in Celsius, mind you. It always seems to be raining and if it is not, the thick mist showers down its moisture. We can see our own breathes. It is, after all, the monsoon seasons.

Anyway, we have set up camp on the summit of Brinchang Mountain which is roughly 2,000 meters, about 6,700 feet above sea level. Its peaceful and beautiful. The rain forest is pristine and full of life even in this terrible weather. Things are simply going great. Also, the rain forests here are called cloud forests because they are almost always shrouded in mist and are covered in a mess of moss and fungi.

You guys will not believe the amount of moths the spotlights here have been attracting. I have been collecting some specimens as well as photographing them. Do not worry, I will upload those photos later. I have even got some photos of moths making love. The variety here is daunting. There are also cellphone lines and Internet access thanks to the nearby satellite station.

Wish you guys were here.

December Update

Journal Entry: Thu Dec 2, 2010, 6:01 PM
Alright, so its now December which is the last month of 2010 before we step over to 2011. Its also a very festive month filled with celebrations like Christmas, Thanks Giving, and many others which are not as well known. How merry.

Anyway, to start of this month, I will be taking a little holiday to the Cameron Highlands of Malaysia which means I will be absent for a few days from here. But, when I get back, I will have a little treat waiting for you guys. Its the time you have all been waiting for. I will be taking requests once again. Yay.

That is about all there is for this month's update. I wish you all happy holidays and thanks for tuning in.

Jokes and Quotes: Love Is In The Air

Journal Entry: Tue Nov 30, 2010, 8:20 PM
FIRST DATE
On our first date, I asked my girlfriend where she'd like me to take her to. She said, "Take me to an expensive place." So I took her to a petrol station!

MARRY HIM
The trouble with some women is that they get all excited about nothing and then they marry him.

WILL YOU LOVE ME?
After five years of marriage, she asked me, "Will you still love me when I am hagged and wrinkled?" "I already do," came the answer.

DESPERATE CASE
If a man actively pursues a woman, he is "romantic." But if a woman actively pursues a man, she is "desperate."

MOVIE DATE
I: Hello. Can we go to the movies tomorrow night?
She: Sorry! I'm expecting a headache!

NEVER FROWN
Never frown, even when you are sad, because you never know who is falling in love with your smile.

THE WORLD
To the world, you may be one person. But to one person, you may be the world.

UNDER FICTION
Question: Where can men over the edge of 60 find young, sexy women who are interested in them?
Answer: Try a bookstore. Under "FICTION."

GRATEFUL
Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the person, we will know how to be grateful.

TRUE LOVE
Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

Math-ness

Journal Entry: Fri Nov 26, 2010, 7:12 PM
At New York's Kennedy Airport some years ago, an individual - later discovered to be a public school teacher - was arrested trying to board a flight while in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a slide rule, and a calculator. At a morning press conference, the U.S. Attorney General disclosed that he believes the man to be a member of the notorious al-gebra movement. He is being charged by the FBI with carrying weapons of math instruction.

''Al-gebra is a fearsome cult'', he declared. ''They seek average solutions by means and extremes, and sometimes go off on tangents in search of absolute value. They use secret code names like 'x' and 'y' and refer to themselves as 'unknowns', but we have determined they belong to a common denominator of the axis of medieval with coordinates in every country. As the Greek philanderer Isosceles used to argue, there are three sides to every triangle.''

When asked to comment on the arrest, the President stated, ''If God had wanted us to have better weapons of math instruction, He would have given us more fingers and toes. I am gratified that our government has shown us a sine that it is intent on protracting us from these math-dogs, who are willing to disintegrate us with calculus disregard. Murky statisticians love to inflict plane on every sphere of influence. Under the circumferences, we must differentiate their root, make our point, and draw the line.''

The President warned, ''These weapons of math instruction have the potential to decimal everything in their math on a scalene never before seen, unless we become exponents of a Higher Power and begin to factor in random facts of vertex.''

The Attorney General concluded, '' As our Great Leader would say, read my ellipse. Here is one principal he is uncertain of: though they continue to multiply, their days are numbered as the hypotenuse tightens.''

How's that for math talk, eh?

Decisions Made

Journal Entry: Fri Nov 19, 2010, 2:46 AM
Well, I have given it some thought and some time to see what all of you have had to say about my idea and I would have to say that the results are very pleasing. Most of you, in fact, all of you have chosen to have the image uploaded and so, I shall. At least now, by knowing all of you are on the same page as me, I feel more comfortable doing so.

You have all been of much help and I thank you all.

My Scanner Is A Pervert

Journal Entry: Tue Nov 16, 2010, 11:10 PM
Okey, here is what is going on.

A while back, I decided to revise a drawing of Cutey, the extremely adorable and innocently sexy Armolin. However, after I did, I put the drawing into my scanner like I always did and strangely enough, the cropped image focused mainly on her boobs and belly. A very nice view, but inappropriate, nonetheless, and also somewhat perverted. Anyway, I thought that it was a one-off, so I tried again. The same thing happened. Then, I decided to put the drawing aside feeling somewhat disappointed that my efforts of creating it were all in vain since it seemed like it would never be able to be displayed here on DeviantART. This was last month.

Today, while uploading one of my color plates, I decided to give Cutey another shot. Once again, I got the same image. I have now come to the conclusion that my scanner is being an absolute pervert with my darling Cutey and I am faced with a slight dilemma. While looking at the scanned image, I got an idea. Since mainly only her boobs and belly showed, I thought I could somehow treat it as a form of body art to display the beauty of the female Armolin body. Female Armolin, after all, do have nice bodies. Nothing sexual intended, honestly. The problem is, I fear that some of you might not be on the same page with me if I do upload the image. That is the purpose of me writing this journal. I want you guys, my fellow deviants and contributors, to decide.

I hope you all will be of much assistance. That is all and thanks for visiting.

Happy Halloween

Journal Entry: Sun Oct 31, 2010, 4:52 AM
Happy Halloween, everybody.

For some of you the day might be almost over, but it has just begun for me since it has just turned morning. Halloween is a special day. Not just because you get to dress yourself up as whoever you would like to be, scare the crap out of anybody and get free candy to rot your teeth out, but it is also the only day on the calendar when Sector 1404 is free to roam the planet without boundaries. Anthros and naturals walk among humans undetected. Since almost everybody is dressed like monsters and such, they blend right in. Of course, they may look a little more real. But, costumes nowadays are getting very close to the real things themselves.

Well, that was my view on Halloween and I hope all of you will enjoy it. Trick Or Treat.

As for November which is just around the corner, I hope to resume taking requests. I might also upload a Halloween-themed artwork or two. Other than that, the usual. More artworks and such to come. Character sheets were a failure.

That is all and thanks for visiting.

Character Sheets

Journal Entry: Fri Oct 1, 2010, 7:01 PM
Hello, everyone. Welcome to October. The month which makes me older every year.

Anyway, for this month, I have been thinking about uploading some new stuff. Character sheets and facial portraits, as a matter of fact. Also, since some of you have been enjoying my original characters, I will most definitely upload more. Requests are still off. Although, I can now conclude that I might be able to resume taking requests at the end of November. I can tell some of you have been just itching for a request or two.

That is all. Thanks for visiting.

September Update

Journal Entry: Tue Aug 31, 2010, 10:12 PM
Well, greetings to all of my fellow contributors and welcome to September.

The agenda for this month is, well honestly, there will be hardly anything going on for this month, unfortunately. Nothing besides more uploads of my artworks. I am always very, very busy this time of year. Any inconvenience caused is much regretted.

Requests are still off.

That is all and thank you for tuning in.

Temporarily Not Taking Requests Anymore

Journal Entry: Wed Aug 4, 2010, 11:17 PM
Well, it is now August and I have some rather disappointing news.

Since I have been probably one of the very few deviants which accept requests for free, my schedule has been flooded with requests from many deviants. I do not blame them. It is, after all, quite the irresistible opportunity to get free requests and I do enjoy fulfilling them. But, it would seem I will have to temporarily decline any future requests to get back on track once again for I have fallen far behind. Any inconvenience caused is much regretted.

To brighten things up, I will be going to watch Slash perform live today and meet him in person thanks to my VIP Tickets.

That is all. I hope you all will have a great August. Thank you.

All Slashed Up

Journal Entry: Fri Jul 2, 2010, 4:32 AM
Well, it is now July and it looks like things have finally turned for the better for me. I recently caught wind of the news that Slash of Guns 'N' Roses will be performing in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on the fifth of August which is on a Thursday.

I ordered myself three tickets and I will be going with a musician friend and his girlfriend. I am getting all slashed up just thinking about it. I cannot believe I am actually going to be meeting Slash. Not personally, but still. He is an absolute legend. Hopefully, I can get one of my guitars autographed, as well.

Other than the tickets, I also got two Slash T-shirts, two Slash badges, two Slash posters, and his signature top hat he is always seen with.

Then, on the seventh of August, Karl Kromok will be conducting a guitar clinic at Bentley Music's Auditorium which is also in Kuala Lumpur. I will be there, as well. What an awesome month this is going to be. I also hope all of you will also enjoy this month with me.

That is all, thank you.

I Have Returned

Journal Entry: Mon Jun 28, 2010, 3:28 AM
Well, after a week or more, I have finally managed to pull myself together to get my ass back on DeviantART. I noticed some of you were starting to worry about me. I apologize for my prolonged absence on such short notice.

You see, a dear friend of mine recently passed away. She had an accident and I have been really depressed ever since. Only today did I start to recover. For those who I have inconvenienced, I greatly apologized.

That is all. Thank you.

Foolish Me

Journal Entry: Fri Jun 11, 2010, 5:16 AM
After seeing Sean's most recent poll, I believe I have acted a little too harsh on him. Being older does not mean that you are right all the time. I am still human and as a supposedly highly advanced species, we are still not entirely perfect. I am not perfect... and I do make mistakes.

Here I stand out in the open for everyone to see. I will make it up to you, Sean... for I have been foolish to you over a small matter. Foolish me.

Stupid Prank

Journal Entry: Thu Jun 10, 2010, 9:48 PM
Well, I woke up this morning to find out to my utmost surprise that Sean's apparent "disappearance" was all just a "test" to see how loyal Ripto's fans were. I am quite disappointed with his behavior because this seems to be more of some kind of stupid prank rather than a harmless joke.

It is simply not like him to be behaving as such. He put a lot of us through trouble. Especially myself. This is what I have to say to you, Sean:

"If you ever feel like pulling of a stupid prank like that again, just remember this. You are 23 years old. Not 13".

A Freind's Disappearance

Journal Entry: Thu Jun 10, 2010, 8:43 AM
Dear friend Sean, owner of DeviantART Account Riptofan1 has vanished from DeviantART. I do not know where he has gone. There is nothing left of him on DeviantART. His entire account is gone. I am very worried for him. The last thing that was heard from him were these words:

"The world needs to understand her feelings... I... I do not know if I will ever return..."

If anybody knows what has happened to dear friend Sean please inform me. God, I hope he is alright.

June Jitters

Journal Entry: Tue Jun 1, 2010, 11:53 PM
June already. It has been rather stormy over here and temperatures can be quite cold in the rain forest areas which is where I live. It has been so cold, at times, during the mornings, while sitting out on the veranda with a mug of hot chocolate, I shiver like a Jitterbug. Even the moths do not feeling like flying.

Anyway, for this month, the usual. I will be trying again for this month to create some new artworks since I did not get to last month. Stranger From Afar has been lying around. Hope to get back to that, too. More photos of my insect collection to come and hopefully a new Deviant ID.

I suppose that is all. Thanks for visiting.
