Phelomena

Well, here she is. Phelomena. Phelo or Mena for short. Whichever you are comfortable with. For those of you who have been reading my seemingly dead Stranger From Afar comic, you would recognize this Lugia as the main antagonist. Though she has not appeared much in the pages I have posted, she makes her presence very evident with her dastardly deeds.

Phelo was actually a Sector 1404 resident, but she disappeared without a trace around 400 years ago. Eventually, she was declared dead. However, things did not quite go that way. She was lost to the Danger Zones where her body was overtaken by a banshee, a sinister bloodthirsty entity. The Phelomena Incident of 2009 occurred when the banshee managed to breach into Sector 1404's premises. She was hunting for a Pangdillo named Lofty. An individual she had chosen to make her own.

She started out by haunting Lofty in his dreams and eventually appearing before him in reality, pursuing him. Lofty thought he would be safe in Sector 1404. I guess we all thought the same. But, this banshee was persistent. Seeing how she could vaporize herself into a black wispy ghost, the barriers were nothing but mere obstacles. She also did manage to turn Lofty, but things did not turn out as expected. Lofty somehow managed to maintain his personality, only inheriting the banshee's powers instead.

After her demise brought on by her very own progeny, Lofty, she was resurrected just a few days later. Bo decided to keep a charred fragment from Phelo's remains. He wanted to get rid of his maker, Betty. She was a very powerful and abusive vampire and therefore he had grown tired of her. He was aware of the strengths Phelo had, as well, and that was exactly the help he needed to carry things out. Knowing Queen Kirakakash was an experienced shaman, he made an appointment with her one night to bring the banshee back. I, for one, did not like his idea. But, Bo was determined to do what he was determined to do. If I stopped him then, he would have just found another way around to get the job done anyways.

So, after some seriously spiritual shit, the charred fragment was tossed into the fire and like an erupting volcano, Phelo spawned from the raging flames of Hell. Immediately, Bo lassoed her neck with a big silver chain he had brought along with him and that forced her to yield as it burned into her neck, immobilizing her. Bo actually had her under his control, now.

Without further ado, Bo brought Phelo to the front parking lot of Fangtasia and called Betty out. But, she did not come. Apparently, Betty had spied on Bo earlier and had known of his plot. However, Betty eventually tackled Bo without warning and Phelo managed to engage her in a brutal brawl. At some point, Betty's hand found it's way around Phelo's neck, breaking the silver chain off. Fighting came to a halt as Phelo realized she was no longer held prisoner. Betty even tried encouraging her to turn on Bo, showing the chain she had broken ''just for Phelo's freedom''. Instead, Phelo lashed her tail at Betty, throwing her straight into a tree where a branch rips it's way right through her black heart. That was the end of Betty.

Things were not over, though. Phelo was still free to escape and resume her killing spree. To Bo's surprise, she surrendered. She even wrapped her neck in the silver chain again. She did not want to go back. She wanted to change. Just as they thought everything was settled, Vincent showed up. What Bo did was a huge felony. He resurrected an evil entity and took a life with it. Things were gonna get really bad for him. But, Vincent was never one to put his authority ahead. He chose to understand the situation first.

Vincent: Looks like you finally did it...

Bo: Vin... I... I-I had to do it. I couldn't stand her no more... You know how she's like!

Vincent: You still committed a felony... and you know that.

Bo: Vin... Please...

Vincent: I knew about this from the start. The look on your face when your new friend kicked Betty's ass the first time... It was just a matter of time, wasn't it...

Phelo: If you are going to do anything, do it to me. Leave him out of this. I'm the one you want...

Vincent: What happened to you, Phelo? Where did you go? Why did you leave?

Phelo: I... don't know what you mean. I'm not who you think I am... I found this body a very long time ago. Phelo... Was that her name?

Vincent: Yes... The chain. Why did you put it back on? Why didn't you run?

Phelo: I don't have anywhere to go. I don't want to go back, either... I want to change. I'm sorry for all that I have done. Its my nature as a banshee... I suppose not having a body of my own for so long... I got carried away with my actions... Banshees are evil... But, I don't want to be. Not anymore...

Vincent: Hm... Take care of her, Bo. Lay low for a few days. Try not to talk about this to anyone. This conversation never happened...
