This individual is a female from a clan of Krogan which protect Sector 1404 from trespassers alongside the Matile.

Krogan are lifeforms which originate from their home planet, Tuchanka. Although the ones on planet Earth are very much different. They are often found living among Matile which could probably solve the mystery to why their appearances differ so compared to their Tuchanka cousins. Since both species are coincidentally compatible with one another, it is no doubt that a Matile and Krogan could have possibly interbred resulting in hybrids like the individual above. Note how she shares a lot in common with the Matile in terms of appearances.

I noticed that you used "Originate" for them. Does that mean that other resident's of Sector 1404 could be desendants of -for lack of a better term- aliens?
